A. Work Permit Indonesia: When Will You Need One?
If you intend to stay and work in Indonesia for an extended period, a work permit is the only document that will legally allow you to do so. Remember that obtaining a work permit in Indonesia is a complicated bureaucratic process. Several government agencies are involved, including the Immigration Office and the Ministry of Manpower.
For peace of mind, those unfamiliar with Indonesian visa applications should seek the assistance of an experienced visa agent.
B. Work Permit Indonesia: Who Can Get One?
The authorities have set strict requirements for obtaining an Indonesian work permit, as it is the only document that allows foreigners to generate income in Indonesia.
For example, foreigners wishing to work in Indonesia must meet the educational and qualification requirements for specific positions, have competency certificates, and transfer their knowledge and skills to their local counterparts. Please contact us for more information on Indonesian work permit requirements.
C. Indonesia Work Permit: RPTKA Approval and KITAS
The Indonesian government issues your work permit based on the Foreign Worker Utilization Plan or RPTKA Approval document, which your sponsor files, or in this case, your employer. Once the Ministry approves your RPTKA of Manpower, the authorities will issue you a limited stay visa, which will serve as the basis for the Immigration Office to give your limited stay permit or KITAS. Depending on your work visa or working permit, you can stay in Indonesia for one to twelve months with a KITAS.
Notice: Due to the Indonesian regulations, we are not able to provide visa services to the following nationals: Afghani, Guinean, Israeli, North Korean, Cameroonian, Liberian, Nigerien, Nigerian, Somalian
